Here’s a great opportunity to enjoy five glorious nights in
the beautiful
Venetian hinterland. This short tour is available
immediately before
Claudio’s tour in Slovenia and the Dalmatian Coast
of Croatia.
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL VENETO (D)
Your tour starts in the afternoon when Claudio will meet guests at
VENICE airport. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy a chilled glass of
prosecco to welcome you to the Veneto. Before dinner you will have a
chance to visit the beautiful historic centre of Conegliano.
DAY 2 – ITALIAN ALPS
& DOLOMITES (BD)
Today we drive to the breathtaking
Italian Alps through CORTINA D’AMPEZZO the venue of the 1956 Winter
Olympics, also called “The Pearl of the Dolomites” for its beauty and
known as Italy’s trendiest winter and summer alpine resort. Our return
journey takes us via the beautiful Auronzo Lake.
DAY 3 – VENEZIA (BD)
VENICE and what a wonderful day it will be. We will walk down Lista di
Spagna, through Calli and over the bridges to Rialto and San Marco. You
will have enough time to wander around freely and take in the wonderful
atmosphere of this magical city.
DAY 4 – WINE VALLEY TOUR & WINE
TASTING (BD)
This morning we will set off on a wine
valley tour around the vineyards of the surrounding area and enjoy a
wine tasting along the way. This is possibly the most scenic countryside
of Italy with the rolling hills of Prosecco and Cartizze. Drive
leisurely through Farra di Soligo, Col S.Martino, Guia, Guietta, S.
Stefano and to Valdobbiadene, the Cartizze capital of Italy.
DAY 5 – CAORLE (BD)
CAROLE was built on the edge of the Venetian lagoon and has ancient
Roman origins. It is also a port at the Adriatic Sea and the landscape
of the area is simply breathtaking - a quaint town, with narrow streets,
little squares and houses painted in pastel colours. The town features
an ancient bell tower, old Romanesque cathedral and Roman ruins,
colourful fishing boats al fresco cafes and impressive sculptures along
the beachfront.
DAY 6 – DEPART FOR SLOVENIA (B)
After breakfast we will say farewell to the Veneto and to those guests
who will leave us today at VENICE airport. We then travel north to start
our tour of Spectacular SLOVENIA and the Sparkling Dalmatian Coast of
CROATIA.
This day to day itinerary may not
necessarily run exactly in this order.
